About The Position

The Women’s Coordinator, reporting to the Project Director, is responsible for supervising SAMHSA PPW (Pregnant and Post-Partum Women) and SAMHSA LAUNCH (Linking Actions for Unmet Needs in Children’s Health) case managers, providing new resources, and ensuring that staff are trained and in compliance with all program protocols. In addition to these duties, the Women’s Coordinator will actively engage in outreach and prevention efforts to promote the programs and services within the community. This includes collaborating with all care team members in program development and working closely with the Chief Clinical Officer, counselors, Children’s Coordinator, the SAMHSA Project Director(s) and other interdisciplinary team members to implement and support the entire SAMHSA projects. Furthermore, the Women’s Coordinator represents the agency positively in all community collaborations and meetings as assigned. They have direct oversight to ensure that electronic medical records, including individual clinical information and required billing documentation, are recorded and conducted in compliance with all ethical and legal standards. Additionally, the Women's Coordinator will collect grant project data and ensure its entry into SPARS, contributing to the program's reporting and evaluation processes.

Requirements

  • Highly effective oral and written communications skills with internal and external clients and stakeholders; strong ability to work collaboratively across internal agency disciplines and with multiple community agencies.
  • Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency or crisis situations.
  • Ability to maintain quality, safety and/or infection control standards.
  • Computer experience, knowledge of or demonstrated ability to learn Access, Word, and electronic medical records (EMR-Bear).
  • Ability to solve unexpected problems as they arise while considering liability, precedence, programmatic implications and other possible future impacts on the program, services or organization.
  • Ability to maintain effective working relationships with all levels within the organization and with external stakeholders.
  • In the case of a recovering alcoholic/addict, he/she must have successfully maintained a two (2) year period of uninterrupted abstinence from alcohol and/or drugs.
  • Must have and maintain a current, valid NM Driver’s License.
  • Must have and maintain a clean driving record, as well as auto insurance.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • At least 2 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
  • Minimum 21 years of age.
  • Current certificates in CPR and First Aid.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's degree in early child development or similar field, Preferred.
  • Bi-lingual/Bi-cultural preferred (English/Spanish).

Responsibilities

  • Provides program development, implementation and oversight of services specific to the needs of women with addiction and their dependent children.
  • Works closely with the Program Director, Clinical Director, Counselor and designated staff from partner agencies to ensure a holistic view and coordination of care for women and their children.
  • Collects client-related data of each client in the grant at specified times and submits data into the SPARS tool. Collaborate with Data Coordinator and Project Evaluator to ensure proper reporting. Maintains PPW tracker and ensures that the information is regularly updated.
  • Supervises case managers ensuring they comply with program protocols and tracking their performance.
  • Ensuring that case managers are trained. Supporting case managers with maintaining case notes, case plans, and other required documentation.
  • Work alongside Case Management Supervisors to promote cohesive universal organization-wide standards and team structure for case managers.
  • Oversees referral of clients to appropriate social service agencies for financial assistance and other needed services; arrange space and accommodations for external community service providers to visit with women and children at SFRC.
  • Plans and facilitates community outreach and education activities, as appropriate to the position. May serve as a liaison and representative to community organizations, schools and with other stakeholders.
  • Keeps abreast of current information on best practices related to Infant Mental Health (IMH) treatment and supports and coordination of care across multiple disciplines and service delivery systems.
  • Performs various administrative functions such as preparing reports and correspondence; may participate in further program development or may propose updates to program model, including relevant policies and procedures.
  • Attends seminars and workshops as necessary build relationships with community resources and providers and to increase knowledge of trends and practices supportive to clients.
  • Provides coordination, availability and full participation in all aspects of any programmatic review, survey, site visits and/or program evaluation.
  • Understands and maintains HIPAA and 42CFR Part 2 confidentiality standards relative to the SFRC.
  • Performs and/or coordinates other special assignments and tasks, as required, by the Program Director.
