About The Position

The Triage Nurse plays a critical role in providing timely, compassionate, and clinically appropriate care to patients of the Women’s Care Clinic. This position is responsible for assessing patient concerns—primarily via phone, electronic messaging, or in-person encounters—prioritizing care needs, and coordinating appropriate clinical follow-up. The Triage Nurse serves as a key point of contact for patients, supporting high-quality, patient-centered care across the continuum of women’s health services. Requirements

  • 3 years experience required
  • Completion of Certified Medical Assistant Program
  • CPR Certification
  • Maintain required continuing education courses

Nice To Haves

  • OBGYN experience preferred but not required
  • Experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Consult with and keep supervisor informed of clinic activities, needs, and problems related to patient care
  • Complies with established patient care standards.
  • Maintains established clinic policies, procedures, objectives, quality assurance, safety, environmental and infection control.
  • Maintains a clean, orderly and safe environment.
  • Cooperates with other personnel to achieve department objectives and maintain good employee interdepartmental and public relations.
  • Greets patients and escorts them to the exam room.
  • Takes and records vital and patient medical information in chart. Prepares patient room for exam.
  • Assist Provider in procedures as necessary.
  • Completes ordered lab procedures.
  • Wound care and suture removal as directed by Provider.
  • Administer EKG’s as directed by Provider.
  • Communicate results of all procedures and tests to Provider.
  • Discharge patient to receptionist.
  • Cleans and disinfects exam rooms after use.
  • Restocks supplies, linens, equipment, and checks for defects and outdating.
  • Maintains professional growth and development through seminars and educational sessions are required.
  • Other duties as assigned.
