Light of Life Rescue Mission serves people in the Northside of Pittsburgh who are experiencing homelessness, poverty, and other related challenges. The organization seeks an Intern to assist its Women & Children's Long-term Program. The intern's role will be to help strengthen female clients' family units, mainly through childcare while mothers engage in program activities. Light of Life will pay a $400/week stipend for 25-28 hours per week. The mission is committed to maintaining a drug-free community, and staff may not use or consume controlled substances like marijuana, even when prescribed by a physician, due to the nature of serving those who struggle with addiction.
