WMS Specialist This is a Hybrid position. Mission:To ensure the efficient operation, optimization, and continuous improvement of the Warehouse Management System (WMS) within logistics operations. The WMS Specialist acts as the key interface between the warehouse, IT, Intralogistics vendors, and third-party logistics (3PL) partners, ensuring seamless processes and effective system utilization. Scope:This position reports to the Logistics Manager, North America, and collaborates closely with 3PL partners, warehouse teams, IT specialists, and global logistics functions. Role Expectations: System Administration and Support: Serve as the primary point of contact for all WMS-related questions and issues. Manage day-to-day WMS operations, ensuring data accuracy and smooth process flow. Coordinate with the 3PL partner to ensure system alignment and troubleshooting support. Training and Knowledge Management: Train new employees on WMS functionality and best practices. Conduct regular training sessions to maintain high user competency levels. Develop and maintain training materials, process documentation, and system guidelines. Process Optimization: Identify efficiency opportunities to streamline warehouse and system operations. Implement improvements in coordination with the 3PL partner and internal stakeholders. Support warehouse process optimization through accurate system configuration and testing. Communication and Collaboration: Act as liaison between the warehouse operations team, IT department, and external partners. Communicate system changes, updates, and issues clearly and effectively across teams. Collaborate with 3PL partners via Microsoft Teams, email, and regular status meetings to ensure operational stability. Troubleshooting and Continuous Improvement: Analyze and resolve WMS issues in cooperation with technical support and the WMS provider. Ensure prompt and effective resolution of system-related disruptions. Contribute to testing and validation of new system features and software updates. Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for WMS processes and configurations. Prepare reports and analyses related to WMS performance and usage. Critical Outcomes: Achieve full WMS process stability and 3PL coordination within 60 days. Conduct initial employee training sessions and establish documentation standards within 90 days. Identify and implement at least two key system or process optimizations within 120 days. Critical Experiences: Minimum 2 years of experience in warehouse logistics or a related field. Proven experience working with Warehouse Management Systems. Strong technical understanding of logistics systems and processes. Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel. Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical topics clearly. Team-oriented and capable of working cross-functionally with logistics, IT, and 3PL teams.
