About The Position

The WMS Analyst is a salaried exempt position responsible for overseeing critical warehouse management system (WMS) functions, directing workflow execution, and supporting operational leadership through system expertise, analysis, and problem‑solving. This role exercises a high level of discretion and independent judgment in coordinating facility waving, task generation, workload prioritization, exception handling, and ensuring operational continuity. The WMS Analyst serves as a subject‑matter expert in SAP/EWM, provides training and operational guidance, supports continuous process improvement, and partners with supervisors to track order processing and maintain service levels.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent experience in Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field.
  • 1–2 years of experience working with a Warehouse Management System (SAP, Oracle, or similar).
  • Basic to intermediate understanding of SAP WM or Oracle WMS transactions.
  • Ability to execute standard warehouse functions such as picking, putaway, replenishment, and shipping through WMS.
  • Competency in Microsoft Excel and basic reporting tools.
  • Strong data accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with warehouse operations and support teams.
  • Eagerness to learn advanced system functionality.
  • Organized and reliable; able to follow established procedures and escalate issues appropriately.
  • Adaptable to changing priorities and fast-paced warehouse demands.
  • High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
  • 2+ years of related experience
  • Strong Excel experience preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Strong WMS experience/SAP preferred
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to consistently meet deadlines with accurate and detailed results.
  • Possess exceptional communication skills (verbal and written)

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all waving, printing, and task generation required for the daily operational cycle.
  • Monitor system queues, prioritize work tasks, and make real‑time decisions to maximize throughput and resource utilization.
  • Maintain and optimize facility locations (slotting), drop zones, task structures, and workflow logic.
  • Use WES/SAP/EWM/WMS to release, manage, and adjust workload across picking, shipping, receiving, replenishment, and forklift operations.
  • Identify workflow exceptions, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions.
  • Develop, maintain, and analyze KPI data to support operational performance and leadership decision-making.
  • Conduct research and provide system-based solutions for replenishment, allocations, inventory control, bin status, product master data, and task performance.
  • Recommend process improvements, system enhancements, and workflow adjustments based on operational trends.
  • Develop, document, and maintain departmental procedures and operational best practices.
  • Train employees and leadership on SAP/EWM processes and workflows.
  • Communicate workflow changes, system updates, and operational priorities clearly across all departments.
  • Support operational production activities during non‑peak times as needed.
  • Ensure safety, housekeeping, and performance standards are communicated and upheld.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by warehouse leadership.
