Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
  • Experience using electrical hand tools and testing equipment (multimeter, continuity tester, etc.)
  • Basic knowledge of electrical safety practices and standards
  • Basic computer skills for documentation and tracking systems
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality
  • Ability to work independently and in a team-based environment

Nice To Haves

  • Previous electrical assembly, wiring, or industrial manufacturing experience preferred
  • Forklift certification preferred (or ability to obtain certification, if required)

Responsibilities

  • Electrical Wiring & Assembly: Install, route, terminate, and secure wiring, cables, and electrical components according to schematics, layout drawings, and work instructions.
  • Blueprint & Schematic Interpretation: Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and bills of materials to ensure proper installation and connectivity.
  • Panel & Component Installation: Mount electrical panels, junction boxes, breakers, relays, and related components in accordance with specifications.
  • Testing & Verification: Perform continuity checks, point-to-point verification, and basic electrical testing to validate proper wiring and connections.
  • Quality Assurance: Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with engineering standards, safety codes, and customer requirements; report discrepancies promptly.
  • Tool & Equipment Operation: Safely operate hand tools, crimpers, wire strippers, torque tools, and other electrical assembly equipment.
  • Documentation: Accurately complete wiring checklists, inspection forms, redlines, and production documentation in a timely manner.
  • Safety & Compliance: Follow all safety procedures, lockout/tagout requirements, PPE guidelines, and company policies at all times.
  • Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work area; support 5S and lean manufacturing initiatives.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with production, engineering, and quality teams to resolve wiring issues and meet production schedules.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve wiring processes, efficiency, and quality performance.
