About The Position

As a Panelboard Assembler Wiring Specialist you perform assembly, and wiring duties to all department wired solutions and panelboards to ensure Company productivity and performance metrics are met. Wire and solder connections are specified using care to maintain continuity and avoid damage to heat sensitive components and delicate parts. Work extensively from wiring diagrams, or engineering specifications on builds requiring so. Required to assemble terminal blocks, wire breakers, assemble wire harnesses, and more extensive wiring in products including D2L, EPL, D2D, EXD, ACE product lines, and other individual wired solutions. Determine proper type and size wire to be used with various amperages when not specified on drawings. Collaborate with Engineering and Quality personnel when required. Add panel sections, drill holes, or otherwise prepare panelboards for the mounting of various component parts in their proper sequence. Assembly work includes and is not limited to mounting plates or frames; assemble and wire starters, relays, transformers, switches, circuit breakers; assemble electrical details to housings; GFI and hot test GFI; affix operating shafts, bearing and indicating plates; fit and adjust outer operating controls as prescribed. Responsible for maintaining quality work in the preparation of assemblies. Maintain a clean, orderly and safe work area. Perform Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) activities such as minor maintenance that includes cleaning, inspection, minor lubrication and tightening loose bolts. Assist in the day-to-day maintenance of the M.R.S. (Material Replenishment System) and floor stock system as necessary and within established procedures. Document errors found in drawings, prints, production orders, or other paperwork used to produce customer orders, and recommend engineering changes and improvements. Help promote a team environment. Complete training as assigned.

Requirements

  • Must have a high school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
  • A minimum of one (1) years of experience in manufacturing or production environment.
  • Experience in wiring diagrams, schematics, and other wiring work
