About The Position

This specific role, designed as 'Hybrid' with an expectation of working two days per week from an HPE office, involves designing, developing, analyzing, troubleshooting, and debugging systems, software, and solutions for HPE’s portfolio, with a focus on networking. The position requires broad knowledge and application of engineering disciplines, methodologies, and tools. The individual will apply advanced subject matter knowledge to solve complex business issues, act as a subject matter expert, and provide expertise and partnership to project teams, potentially participating in cross-functional initiatives. Significant independent judgment is expected, and the role may include team leadership and mentoring responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, focus in networking preferred.
  • Typically 2-4 years experience.
  • Knowledge in Layer 2 and Layer 3 Networking
  • Knowledge in 802.11 Wi-Fi standards
  • Using and evaluating appropriate engineering design tools and software packages to design components and solutions.
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Conducting reviews of material specifications and hardware, software, and electrical component design.
  • Evaluating forms of empirical analysis, modeling and testing methodologies to validate product designs and specifications.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; mastery in English and local language.
  • Ability to effectively communicate product architectures, design proposals and negotiate options at senior management levels.

Responsibilities

  • Triage and Resolve Customer Support Escalations from multiple inbound channels.
  • Meet or exceed customer expectations on response quality, timeliness of responses and overall customer experience.
  • Build and maintain layer 2/3 network testbeds.
  • Understand features and reproduce customer issues.
  • File tickets on bugs found.
  • Analyze logs and pinpoint root causes.
  • Work with developers and drive solutions.
  • Participate in relevant meetings and discussions and provide status reports.
  • Drives innovation and integration of new technologies into projects and activities in the engineering design organization.
  • Provides guidance and mentoring to less- experienced staff members.
