About The Position

itD is seeking a Wireless Technical Program Manager to lead multidisciplinary wireless hardware programs through the New Product Introduction (NPI) process, supporting the development of next-generation wearable consumer devices, including AI glasses. This role drives end-to-end execution of custom and semi-custom wireless modules and subsystems, ensuring predictable delivery, risk mitigation, and seamless cross-functional collaboration. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in wireless systems and hardware/firmware integration, with a proven track record of delivering complex consumer electronics programs from concept through mass production.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience as a Technical Program Manager or Engineering Manager leading hardware and/or firmware programs from concept to mass production.
  • 3+ years of experience working on wireless hardware module projects.
  • 3+ years of hands-on wireless design and/or implementation experience (hardware and/or firmware).
  • Strong technical background in wireless systems, including RF, antenna systems, WiFi, Bluetooth, and cellular technologies (e.g., 5G).
  • Experience with component and wireless module qualification, validation, and characterization processes.
  • Demonstrated experience leading complex, cross-functional technical programs in consumer electronics.
  • Proven ability to manage program schedules, drive alignment, and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a related engineering discipline, or equivalent work experience required.

Responsibilities

  • Lead multiple concurrent wireless hardware programs (WiFi, Bluetooth, cellular, RF subsystems) from ideation through launch and post-launch support.
  • Develop and manage detailed program schedules, defining key milestones and proactively identifying risks with mitigation strategies.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams across hardware, firmware, systems, and external partners to ensure seamless module integration.
  • Drive execution through the NPI lifecycle, ensuring alignment between architecture definitions, build goals, and wireless requirements.
  • Track and report engineering issues during development and build phases, providing clear status updates and escalation paths to leadership.
  • Facilitate technical decision-making, balancing trade-offs to meet delivery timelines while maintaining product performance and quality standards.
  • Establish and champion best practices for wireless hardware development processes in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
  • Attend regular internal practice community meetings.
  • Collaborate with your itD practice team on industry thought leadership.
  • Complete client case studies and learning material (blogs, media material).
  • Build out material to contribute to the Digital Transformation practice.
  • Attend internal itD networking events (in person and virtual).
  • Work with leadership on career fast-track opportunities.
