Wireless RF Compliance Validation Engineer (RSE)

Apple's Wireless Systems and Compliance Engineering team is looking for an RF Compliance Validation Engineer to perform RF regulatory characterization and demonstrate regulatory compliance for new Apple products with advanced radio technologies.• You will validate emission test cases for different regulatory domains in certification test setups. You will translate world-wide emission requirements into test cases and coordinate those with Regulatory Compliance teams to ensure that product validation covers all certification tests. You will define and implement validation plans for regulatory-facing software features. You will perform debugging of marginal/failure tests and will interact with multi-functional teams like RFHW/Antenna/Product Design/EE/etc. to drive design changes and address issues. You will maintain test setups via periodic checks and calibration. You will help Regulatory Compliance teams in planning and delivering final certification testing at 3rd party test labs.
Requirements
- Master's Degree with 3+ years of relevant work experience preferred.
- Detailed understanding of at least one Wireless technology including 5G FR1, FR2, GSM, UMTS, CDMA, LTE, 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax/be, Bluetooth, Thread, UWB, NFC.
- Understanding of Antenna characteristics impact to radiated testing.
- Familiarity with radiated test setups, radiated chamber calibration and use.
- Proficiency in MATLAB programming, or, ADS, CST, HFSS simulation.
- Knowledge on worldwide Regulatory standards in relation to carry a product to certification.
