About The Position

CERTEX USA is seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Wire Rope Assembler to join our team in Phoenix, responsible for fabricating, inspecting, and assembling various rope products to meet high-quality standards and customer specifications. Position Overview Assembler/Fabricators accurately identify different diameters, constructions, and best possible applications for an array of products that are utilized in industries like construction, energy, mining, crane operation, space and aeronautical, deep-sea recovery and rescue. Items assembled may be constructed with wire, chain or synthetic material.

Requirements

  • Familiarity with industrial tools like cutting machines, swagers, crimping tools, and winches is preferred
  • Proficient at math and reading
  • Must be able to manage your time
  • Must be able to accurately read a tape measure or digital micrometer
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Must be persistent, energetic, and reliable
  • Pass pre-employment drug and alcohol screen and criminal background check
  • Be able to provide valid documentation to provide proof of citizenship in accordance with I-9 document
  • Display a professional and courteous attitude
  • Report to work at the designated start time
  • Willing to travel to various work sites or training as required
  • Willing to work overtime, nights and weekends when necessary
  • Strictly adhere to safety requirements and procedures and comply with the Company’s “Stop Work” policy
  • Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) in designation operations and production areas as directed
  • Have the willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers and Supervisor with other duties as required

Responsibilities

  • Review, interpret drawings and blueprints and capacity tables
  • Understand codes and specifications as outlined on order tickets
  • Calculate wire rope cut lengths, fitting requirements and identify the appropriate equipment to produce all varieties of wire or synthetic rope and chain assemblies
  • Splicing wire rope and fabricating chain slings
  • Understanding and operation of industrial swaging machines, proof testing machines, and forklifts
  • Attach proper tags and labels to products
  • Maintain Inventory Records
  • Report defective or substandard material supplies or product
  • Shipping and receiving of goods
  • Maintain work area, equipment, and tools in a clean and organized manner, and follow all Safety Guidelines
  • May be required to assist with deliveries when needed
