About The Position

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF JOB Responsible for conducting various transactions through core bank processing software, and other system applications; while observing internal controls. Requirements

  • Good organizational skills;
  • Good written and verbal skills;
  • Highly attentive to detail and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment;
  • Good interpersonal communication and computer skills; ability to operate standard office equipment, including spreadsheets, data entry via 10-key, and keyboarding.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

  • Process incoming and outgoing wire transactions through all areas of core bank processing software, and other system applications, in a timely and accurate manner under minimal supervision including, but not limited to, the following:
  • Domestic and international wire requests;
  • Calculate exchange rates related to foreign currency wires;
  • Verify funds availability
  • Communicate with branch staff and management regarding wire transfer;
  • Daily phone interaction with authorized callers/customers performing outgoing wire requests;
  • Strong attention to detail in order to maintain the highest level of accuracy;
  • Perform callback verification to verify transaction details and authenticity of transaction;
  • Ability to maintain a level of discretion and confidentiality while dealing with sensitive customer information;
  • Assist in gathering wire data for daily and weekly review;
  • Monitor transfers for fraudulent transactions, identifying and researching suspicious activity;
  • Notify BSA Department of any suspicious activity and coordinate proper compliance approval for any filed OFAC wire transfers;
  • Ability to understand and follow regulatory requirements, bank policy and procedures associated with daily tasks; and security protocols;
  • Complete other duties assigned by the Wire Operations Department.
