About The Position

The Wire Line Machine Operator will be part of a World Class Manufacturing Team that builds custom control panels and interfaces. The Production Associate will provide excellent customer service with quality workmanship and by meeting customer due dates, while continuously improving.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Two years or more working in manufacturing, production, warehouse, or assembly environment.
  • Strong hand-eye coordination, vision and manual dexterity to make precisely coordinated movements of the fingers of one or both hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble very small objects.
  • Basic knowledge of using Microsoft Office Products / Computer.
  • Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must have a positive attitude, be a self-starter, and able to work independently as well as collaboratively.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs periodically.

Responsibilities

  • Operate wire line and equipment.
  • Assist with assembling custom control panels and displays according to job specifications.
  • Operate power tools and other equipment.
  • Problem-solve process, systems, and equipment issues.
  • Keep the supervisor informed of problems, opportunities for improvement, or questions.
  • Demonstrates flexibility and creativity in ideas and approach.
  • Responds positively and supports changes in procedures, process, technology, responsibility and assignments.
  • Maintains cooperative and productive working relationships and communications with all customers, fellow team members, suppliers, and external resources.
  • Maintain a high awareness of personal safety at all times.
  • Follow Assembly, Materials, and accounting record keeping practices by promptly and accurately logging pertinent information.
  • Maintain equipment, tools, and work area in a neat and orderly fashion. Use 5S practices.
  • Assist with continuous improvement and Lean initiatives and in implementation of changes in methods or procedures.

  • Accept other duties and responsibilities as assigned or when required by customer needs.
