About The Position
Springfield Public Schools seeks outstanding applicants for multiple positions of Winter Assistant Coach or Activity Leader at Springfield High School. Individuals in these positions are responsible for promoting the philosophy and objectives of the OSAA, adherence to all department policies and procedures, as well as the rules and regulations of Springfield High School, Springfield School District and the OSAA. Coaches are expected to conduct him or herself in a loyal, honest, responsible, ethical and professional manner at all times. We are seeking applicants for the following Winter sports at Springfield High School: Basketball - Boys & Girls Swimming Wrestling Activity Leader
Requirements
- Coaching/advising experience at the high school level in the sport/activity for which you are applying
- Knowledge of and experience in the sport/activity for which you are applying
- Ability and experience working with high school students
- Ability and experience working with parents, fellow coaches and school district staff
- Effective and positive communication skills
- Ability to work within school district guidelines and budget
- Valid First Aid card
- Availability for daily practices and matches, or activities
- Fundraising knowledge and/or capabilities
- Understanding of OSAA rules and regulations
- Good organizational skills
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check
- Ability and commitment to practice cultural competency and demonstrate respect for diversity
