About The Position

Under the supervision of the Raeburn Winemaker, the Winemaking Logistics Manager will manage all offsite bottling operations including managing the Crimson Wine Group (CWG) bottling schedule, procurement, and delivery of bottling materials. This individual will also manage all bulk wine transportation for all CWG brands. The CWG Brands include Pine Ridge Vineyard, Seghesio Family Vineyards, Chamisal Vineyards, Raeburn Winery, Seven Hills Winery, Archery Summit, and Double Canyon Winery. In addition, the Winemaking Logistics Manager will be responsible for the execution and accuracy of all data in Vintrace and business central including cellar operations, bulk wine, and dry goods inventory for Raeburn Winery.

Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s degree in enology, business, supply chain management, or related field
Years of experience: Five or more years’ experience in similar role preferred
Desire to become part of a team dedicated to crafting fine wines.
Willing to work extended hours and weekends as necessary, especially during harvest and bottling.
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
Displays strong time management skills, consistently attending meetings and events on time.
Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills; able to manage priorities and workflow.
Strong focus and attention to detail
Proficient in computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
Must be able to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time in 2-hour intervals.
Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Must have a valid driver’s license and a safe driving record.

Nice To Haves

Experience in Vintrace and business central is a plus.

Responsibilities

Manage the CWG bottling schedule to ensure accuracy and communication with all parties involved including the 3rd party bottler, suppliers, and internal CWG stakeholders.
Forecast all bottling materials required based on production plans including scrap materials.
Procure all bottling supplies for offsite bottlings including glass, labels, screwcaps, corks, capsules, cartons, and inserts.
Ensure timely deliveries of all bottling supplies to the offsite bottling locations.
Completes bottling reports, incoming/outgoing BOLs, and day of bottling records.
Ensures bottle label integrity on offsite bottling locations.
Evaluate packaging alternatives based on costs and carbon footprint.
Manage warehouse space allocation for packaging materials storage.
Secures and manages all bulk wine and juice transportation for all CWG operations.
Completes all digital Raeburn wine transfers in Vintrace.
Establishes and maintains transport bulk wine SOPs with wine quality highest priority.
Ensure vendors have appropriately sized vessels for not negatively affecting wines and juice during transportation.
Manage the RFP schedule and process on a yearly basis.
Maintain good and strategic relationships with suppliers while continuing to evaluate others that would benefit CWG.
Understand current packing pricing to negotiate in the best interest of CWG’s objectives at top of mind.
Coordinate efforts with Marketing team to ensure aesthetic alignment.
During harvest helps schedule incoming fruit with custom crush locations and track grape receival in Vintrace.
Keep weigh tag records, create BOLs and send end of month reports to compliance team.
Import all offsite winemaking supplies into Vintrace and track lot codes.
Keep wine gallons in Vintrace up to date and manage the end of month reporting to finance and compliance teams.
Code all Raeburn Winery invoices in business central.
Conduct monthly bulk and case good inventories to ensure accurate record keeping in Vintrace and report to finance department.
Understand budget forecasts and adhere to expense targets.
