About The Position

Window and Door Field Service Tech II, in Temecula, CA Milgard is seeking a skilled and customer‑focused Window & Door Field Service Technician II to support our Phoenix service area. In this role, you will diagnose and repair window and door products, provide excellent customer service, and represent Western Window Systems professionally in the field. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 3–5 years of experience in window and door installation, manufacturing, or field service
  • Working knowledge of window and door products, components, and basic repair methods
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Clean driving record
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Windows applications
  • Experience using tablets or mobile devices for work orders and documentation
  • Strong communication, customer service, and problem‑solving skills

Responsibilities

  • Perform field service work on windows and doors in residential and light commercial settings
  • Diagnose product and installation issues and complete repairs safely and efficiently
  • Communicate professionally with homeowners, builders, and internal team members
  • Schedule service appointments and order required parts
  • Use hand and power tools, ladders, and equipment to complete service tasks
  • Determine warranty‑related issues versus installation or jobsite conditions
  • Support large or complex service projects under the direction of a Team Lead or senior technician
  • Maintain accurate documentation of service work using mobile devices and company systems
  • Ensure job sites are left clean and restored to original condition
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and inventory of service vehicle and warehouse materials
  • Provide feedback to leadership on recurring service issues and product observations
  • Assist with training and onboarding of newer technicians as needed
