About The Position

The Winder Operator possesses a thorough working knowledge of the grinder and all aspects of the film fabrication process as it pertains to the BOPP orientate. Interacts with co-workers as part of a highly motivated and productive team. The primary responsibility of the Winder Operator is the daily operation of the Winder while supporting the film line.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent
• Mechanical aptitude
• Good oral /written communication skills
• Computing knowledge
• Ensure consistent, dependable attendance and demonstrate a willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary.
• Capable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interactions.

Responsibilities

• Slab rolls, cut scrap winder, and grind scrap
• Assist adjoining line if necessary
• Maintain equipment notifying the Senior Extrusion Technician / Lead of any maintenance issues requiring immediate attention
• Quality testing/data entry
• Strive to achieve departmental production and quality objectives
• Any supplemental responsibilities as determined by the Senior Winder Operator or upper supervision.
• Comply with company recycling policy
• Comply with all Plant Safety and Product Safety requirements
• Overtime as required
