About The Position

The main purpose of this position is to learn to protect and promote the health of families in the community by providing WIC services to all eligible participants. This position will learn to interview WIC applicants and participants to assess eligibility and determine benefits in compliance with federal regulations, state policies and local agency procedures. This position will also learn to educate WIC participants on basic nutrition and breastfeeding concepts to enhance their nutritional status.

Requirements

Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.
Employees in this classification may be assigned duties which require the operation of a motor vehicle. Employees assigned such duties will be required to possess a motor vehicle operator’s license valid in the State of Maryland.
