MultiCare Mary Bridge Children's Hospital is the state-designated Level II Pediatric Trauma Center and the only pediatric hospital in Washington's South Sound Region dedicated to a comprehensive network of health services for children and adolescents. The WIC Registered Dietitian is responsible for providing medical nutrition therapy, providing nutrition assessment and counseling to clients, both in person and remotely, who meet the WIC High Risk criteria, and contributes to the development, implementation, and the evaluation of the nutrition education component for the WIC Program. This is a professional level position working under the direction of the WIC Program Supervisor. Work situations are varied and require dietetic expertise especially as it relates to women, infant and children, interpretation of information from a variety of sources, decision making within the scope of the position's responsibility, and a service-oriented individual. This position requires discretion and good judgment in decision making. Internal contacts include WIC staff and management. External contacts include patients, families, physicians, and outside organizations and agencies.
