Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) is a special supplemental nutrition program offered throughout Wake County. The WIC program is funded by the United States Department of Agriculture. WIC provides individualized nutrition counseling and group nutrition education, breastfeeding promotion and support, referrals for health care and other services and benefits for healthy food for eligible participants. We are currently recruiting for full-time WIC Nutritionist. The WIC Nutritionist identifies nutrition risks, provides nutrition counseling, and completes food prescriptions for WIC program participants; works closely with other program employees, including nutrition, breastfeeding and laboratory team members, and client services coordinators to ensure WIC services are effectively provided. Note - A criminal background check will be conducted.
