Perform highly advanced (senior-level) professional supervisory, administrative, and policy analysis work for the Vendor Management and Operations Unit within the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC). Responsible for supervising the Analytics and Unit Support Branch and establishing goals and objectives, schedules, priorities, and planning, assigning, and supervising the work of others. Responsible for researching, developing, revising, and implementing WIC Vendor policies and procedures, working closely with internal and external stakeholders for the Unit to maintain compliance with State and Federal regulations and policies, and ensuring the Unit’s RACI chart and associated policies/procedures remain current and correct. Responsible for submission of WIC Vendor policies to the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) for approval. Provide training and high-level technical assistance on policy-related issues to staff. Oversee the development and implementation of studies, analyses, surveys, reports, research, projects, and plans. Responsible for responding to legislative inquiries and bill analyses. Work closely with internal staff on vendor outreach activities, including but not limited to vendor communications, webinars, meetings, materials, and agreements/contracts to ensure compliance with policies and procedures. Develop and implement strategic planning actions and policy decisions alongside subject matter experts and evaluate and make recommendations for implementing new business processes and/or functions, or revisions to existing business processes in the Unit. Assist with Unit planning and special projects. Maintain a professional team that honors the values of courtesy, professionalism, and respect. Represent the Unit at various functions, meetings, seminars, and workgroups. Work under minimal supervision with extensive latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. Perform other duties as assigned.
