Position Summary... What you'll do... Operates vehicle over 10,000 pounds safely by adhering to all safety requirements; inspecting mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment of vehicle unit before, during, and after trips; planning routes based on local and state traffic laws and restrictions; and following routes according to information from maps and atlas. Manages freight flow by moving and processing freight manually and with power equipment (for example, single and double pallet jack, lift, pacer); identifying, counting, separating, and scanning freight; utilizing warehouse management system terminal, scales, and scanners; and completing paperwork, logs, and other required documentation. Maintains area of responsibility by loading and unloading product into and out of vehicle; ensuring cleanliness of vehicle; following appropriate policies and procedures for preparing, handling, packaging, labeling, and storing food products; identifying shrink and damages; removing damaged or out-of date goods; identifying and processing claims and returns; maintaining merchandise presentation; and securing fragile and high-shrink merchandise. Provides customer service by acknowledging the customer; delivering merchandise to customers at residential and commercial locations; following compliance requirements for food safety by processing items according to company specification; operating, maintaining, and sanitizing equipment; ensuring merchandise is properly stored; and promoting products and services. The hourly wage range for this position is $20.00 to $28.00 The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
