About The Position

POSITION PURPOSE
Reporting to the Wet Process Supervisor, the Wet Process Operator is responsible for delivering quality concentrate in a safe, efficient, and effective manner.

Will be required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Will be required to pass a respirator fit test and wear a respirator when needed.
Frequently exposed to noisy conditions.
Frequently exposed to wet conditions.
The schedule for this position will be on a rotating day and night 12-hour schedule (630am-630pm M-Th followed by 630pm-630am M-W); however, the work schedule may vary based on production needs and will be set by your Supervisor and Manager.
Occasional work outdoors in varying weather conditions including extreme cold and heat.

The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 55 pounds. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. Requirements

• Aptitude for machinery operation and maintenance.
• Mechanical abilities to be able to identify problems in the plant.
• Heavy Equipment experience, specifically front-end loader, is beneficial.
• Strong work ethic, demonstrating sound judgement in work performed.
• Consistent work quality and performance, displaying a positive attitude.
• Attention to detail in all tasks.
• Ability to properly follow directions and efficiently manage work time.
• Willingness to learn and be multi-skilled.
• Willingness to on take on extra responsibilities.
• Ability to follow work instructions with minimum supervision.
• Reliable Attendance and Punctuality.

Responsibilities

• Safe and efficient operation of plant processing equipment.
• Safe and efficient operation of Front-End Loader to feed wet process.
• Safe and efficient operation of various equipment used for operations and housekeeping.
• Perform all work in a satisfactory manner as instructed by Supervisor or more senior staff.
• Promptly report any accidents, incidents or potential hazards to Supervisor or more senior staff.
• Assist with plant operation and maintenance when needed and as directed by more senior staff.
• Maintain a clean working environment.
• Present a positive and attentive image for GMA Mining USA.
• Cooperate with and be courteous to other employees.
• Workplace inspections, Take-5’s and JSA’s prior to commencing work
• Report immediately to the Leading Hand, Supervisor, or more senior staff any problems with product quality, or equipment that may affect the quality or productivity of GMA Mining USA’s operations.
• Take responsibility for your own health and safety as well as that of all your co-workers.
• Other duties as deemed necessary by your supervisor.
