About The Position

The Wet Mechanical / Plumbing Superintendent is responsible for overseeing field execution of mechanical and plumbing scopes within complex semiconductor or mission-critical facilities. This role ensures subcontractor alignment, schedule adherence, safety compliance, and quality execution across wet mechanical systems. The Superintendent works closely with Area Superintendents, Construction Management (CM), subcontractors, and commissioning teams to drive performance and maintain program objectives.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of experience overseeing mechanical and plumbing trades in semiconductor or mission-critical environments
  • Demonstrated experience with wet mechanical systems including: HVAC, boilers, chillers, air handlers, cooling towers, air handlers, fire protection systems, safety showers, storm drain, and wastewater systems
  • Strong field coordination, safety leadership, and subcontractor management experience
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, schedules, and milestone definitions

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelors in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Know and manage assigned scope of work; communicate daily with subcontractors to ensure scheduled activities are executed as planned
  • Ensure subcontractor needs and execution strategies are aligned with overall program direction and site expectations
  • Maintain continuous communication and coordination with Hoffman Area Superintendents
  • Oversee safety performance across all trades within assigned areas; proactively identify and mitigate risks
  • Participate in High Risk Activity (HRA) and Site Incident Prevention Plan (SIPP) planning efforts
  • Periodically review Pre-Task Plans (PTPs) in the field to ensure compliance and execution readiness
  • Attend subcontractor Stretch & Flex sessions and Toolbox Talks to reinforce safety and site expectations
  • Attend daily whiteboard meetings to coordinate field activities and resolve immediate constraints
  • Receive, review, and update weekly subcontractor schedule updates to ensure milestone alignment
  • Review weekly constraint logs; assist with issue resolution or escalate as necessary
  • Attend weekly subcontractor meetings with Construction Management (CM) as required
  • Review and understand milestone definitions to ensure schedule accountability
  • Support commissioning (Cx) efforts including field verifications, system walks, and turnover coordination
  • Any other duties or responsibilities that may be assigned to you in your role.
