About The Position

The Wellness Nurse will be a nurse leader joining the Pasadena Highlands clinical team, responsible for establishing effective relationships with residents, families, and team members. This role involves overall charge of resident care, staffing, training, and assessments. The primary function is the implementation, delivery, and coordination of resident care services, supervising medical technicians and care staff to ensure high-quality care for senior residents, adhering to company and regulatory standards. The Wellness Nurse will conduct assessments for potential and existing residents to determine and meet their care needs, maintain accurate wellness records, and oversee medication storage, distribution, administration, and discontinuation. This position also serves as a liaison between residents, families, administration, staff, physicians, pharmacists, and medical personnel, and involves scheduling and staffing the department while playing a key role on the management team of the Assisted Living Community.

Requirements

LVN, LPN, or RN certification
Minimum of 2 years experience in geriatrics
Minimum 2 years of management experience, training and mentoring staff
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings
Love working with seniors above all

Nice To Haves

LVN/LPN current and active RCFE CA certification current
3+ years experience in activities with older adults including dementia related programs

Responsibilities

Manage assisted living and memory care programs to company standards, policies, and procedures
Supervise Caregivers and Med Technicians including hiring, training, mentoring and scheduling
Develop monthly schedules keeping overtime to a minimum
Foster a positive and productive work environment for all
Ensure communication with resident family members and appropriate collaborators (doctors, home health, physical therapy, etc)
