About The Position

Overview: The role of Patient Ambassador is to maintain safety and provide exceptional service to patients requiring assistance with appointments throughout the hospital campus. Services: Safely assist patients/colleagues to and from their appointments, providing directions about campus facilities, and assistance with parking questions. Requirements: Must be 18 years or older to apply. Must be able to pass a criminal background check. Provide exceptional service to patients and colleagues. Proficient in English both verbally and written. Able to bend and assist patients with getting in and out of wheelchairs following Lahey Mobile Transfer policies. Able to retrieve, sanitize and manage wheelchair inventory. Able to lift, push and pull 50 lbs. Able to walk around the hospital to assist patients to appointments Able to stand for several hours at a time when needed in order to assist patients. Able to use the parking point of sale system (kiosk) to assist patients with parking tickets. Able to perform other duties as assigned within the scope of the Ambassador Role. Maintain all uniform and high appearance standards expected of all VPNE colleagues. Must adhere to VPNE's attendance policy.
