About The Position

Intermountain Electronics (IE) is a leading provider and manufacturer of custom engineered Process, Electrical Control and Power Distribution turn-key solutions to the Data Center, Industrial, Power/Utility, Oil & Gas, Mining industries in North America. Our products range from large-scale custom Power Distribution, Control and Process systems to standard off-the-shelf electronic/electro-mechanical components. Reporting directly to the Training Manager we are currently seeking a Training Facilitator to be based at our Price, Utah, facility. Position Summary: The Training Facilitator is responsible for preparing, coordinating, delivering, and documenting hands-on training programs for employees at Intermountain Electronics, with a primary focus on onboarding and developing incoming employees in welding, fabrication, and mechanical assembly processes. This includes training related to metal roofing, siding, window and door installation, and general structural and mechanical assembly. The Training Facilitator gathers information from production teams and subject matter experts to develop structured training paths and converts that knowledge into effective, hands-on training classes and materials. This role designs and delivers practical, skills-based training and training aids to create a realistic shop-floor learning environment, while also tracking employee training progress and competency development. Training activities are heavily focused on hands-on work processes such as welding, fabrication techniques, use of hand and power tools, large-scale mechanical and structural assembly, and related shop practices. This role supports continuous improvement initiatives and is dynamic in nature, adapting training content to meet evolving production and workforce needs.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in education, human resources, or business administration / or a technical degree in welding, electrical, or other mechanical disciplines; with at least two years experience as a craftsperson and as a trainer or educator; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to bend conduit, read blueprints /diagrams, and perform electrical wiring are strongly preferred
  • Experience delivering training in a group setting.
  • Ability to speak publicly and deliver training with charisma.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and relationship management.
  • Ability to become proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, as well as other specialized presentation or training applications or learning management systems.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple concurrent assignments; some overtime will be required
  • Ability to identify work priorities and function with very little supervision
  • Bottom line focus on delivering value to the organization

Nice To Haves

  • Preference will be given to candidates who have real work experience in skilled trades.
  • Bi-lingual is a plus
