About The Position

The welding department at USU Blanding is seeking a student laboratory assistant. The successful candidate for this position will become a working member of the welding education certificate and degree programs located at the USU Blanding campus in Blanding, Utah.

Requirements

• Welding major currently enrolled in at least two welding courses at USU Blanding.
• One semester of courses completed in the welding program.
• Computer literacy.
• Organization.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Dependable and punctual.

Responsibilities

• Fabrication of projects for shop improvements
• Basic maintenance and repair of program equipment
• Maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the lab facility
• Participating in recruiting events hosted and participated in by the welding program
