About The Position

Skillforce is currently hiring several experienced tank/structural welders for work in the Minneapolis area! This is a contract to hire role, working 40+ hours a week across several sites. Welders will be primarily working on tanks of various size as well as structural components. Pay for this role is up to $34/hr depending upon experience and certification.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a tank and/or structural welder
• Ability to pass a weld test
• Knowledge of welding codes and standards (AWS preferred)
• Own basic welding tools and PPE
• Reliable transportation and strong work ethic

Nice To Haves

• Certifications (AWS or equivalent)
• Experience with carbon steel and heavy plate welding
• Commercial or industrial experience

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG, TIG, and/or Stick welding on tanks and structural steel
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and weld symbols
• Fit, fabricate, and weld components to specifications
• Ensure weld quality meets industry and safety standards
• Follow all safety procedures and job site requirements
