About The Position

Demco is seeking experienced welders with at least one year of welding experience for current openings at their facility located in Spencer, IA. Prior MIG welding experience in multiple positions (vertical down, horizontal, etc.) and material thickness is required. Demco provides a competitive compensation & benefits package that takes into account your welding experience, skills, and expertise. Starting wage is based on experience.

Requirements

• Must have welding experience
• Must be able to pass a welding test
• Ability to read weld symbols
• Ability to weld in multiple positions
• Able to prioritize and sort jobs according to needs
• Able to read and use measuring tools accurately
• Be safety minded
• Attention to detail and a high standard of quality
• Must comply to ISO 9001 required policies
• Must be a team player who can work effectively in a team environment
• Good interpersonal, verbal communication and active listening skills
• Willingness and ability to learn and perform other jobs
• Able to lift 50 pounds occasionally and push/pull 100 pounds occasionally
• Willingness to be trained for forklift

Responsibilities

• Able to set a welder according to job requirements

• Able to use a hoist or crane and know the correct procedures to operate it
• To complete jobs on a timely and consistent basis
