Welder
About The Position
This is a full-time, first shift Welder position at the Corporate Office in Kings Mountain, NC. The role involves producing ASME Code pressure vessels and assisting with welding in other areas as needed. The standard work schedule is Monday through Friday from 5:00 am to 1:30 pm, with some Saturdays potentially required from 7:00 am to 12:00 pm. Hours are subject to change based on business needs, and no travel is required. Full-time employees are eligible for a weekly attendance bonus, receiving an additional $1 per hour for every hour worked during their scheduled shift.
Requirements
- Ability to MIG, TIG, and Flux core weld
- Ability to read and follow drawing prints
- Ability to use tape measure, levels, weld gauges, grinder and saw to fabricate materials
- Willingness to train to use calculator to determine degree locations on heads and shells
- Simple fraction and math skills
- Willingness to train to use submerged arc welding equipment
- Must supply own weld helmet
- Ability to lift 50 pounds unassisted safely
- Ability to walk, stand for extended periods of time, sit, bend, kneel, reach up, and reach down
- Physical agility to weld inside of tanks
- Ability to work overtime on the weekend as business conditions indicate
- Ability to work in non-climate-controlled areas
- Ability to wear protective gear such as welding helmet, face shield, hearing protection, safety glasses, dust mask, etc.

Benefits
