Key Role: • Perform precision TIG welding on pipe and tubing systems, including stainless steel, carbon steel, and specialty alloys • Fit-up, layout, and fabricate piping assemblies including pressure piping, process lines, and mechanical systems • Read and interpret P&IDs, blueprints, and weld procedures • Measure, cut, bevel, prep, tack, and align pipe for proper weld tolerances • Install, modify, and repair pressure vessels, piping systems, and fluid/gas transfer systems • Perform field routing, installation, and tie-ins to existing systems • Ensure work complies with applicable codes and standards (ASME, AWS, pressure system requirements) • Operate according to Work Authorizations and approved procedures • Inspect piping, joints, and welds to ensure quality and leak-free performance • Bend, flare, and install tubing; work with aerospace or high-pressure fittings/connectors • Use pipe fitting tools including threaders, bevelers, benders, and alignment tools • Demonstrate strong mechanical troubleshooting and system assembly skills • Maintain safe work practices and use required PPE at all times • Communicate job status, system impacts, and schedule changes effectively • Support overtime or alternate shifts as mission requirements dictate • Ability to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of pipe fitting and/or pipe welding experience in industrial, mechanical, or aerospace environments
  • Proven experience with TIG welding on pipe and pressure systems
  • Experience with pipe layout, fit-up, installation, and code-compliant fabrication
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Must be able to obtain a DoD Secret Security Clearance
