Requirements

  • MIG Welding Experience : Prior experience in MIG welding within a manufacturing environment or equivalent technical schooling is required.
  • Communication & Documentation : Basic oral communication skills; ability to read and understand written instructions in English and complete basic logs and reports in English.
  • Physical Capability : Physically able to lift, push, pull, and position heavy components as required.
  • Attendance & Compliance : Ability to work scheduled hours and adhere to company timekeeping and all other policies.
  • Shift Endurance : Ability to consistently stand for the entire duration of the shift in a non-climate-controlled environment.
  • Team Orientation : Able to work cooperatively with others and contribute as a team player.
  • Attention to Detail : Demonstrates accuracy and reliability in all tasks.

Nice To Haves

  • Additional Welding Skills : Experience with Flux Core welding is a plus.
  • Tool Proficiency : Familiarity with grinding tools, drill presses, and ironwork is advantageous.
  • Mechanical Knowledge : General mechanical knowledge is beneficial.

Responsibilities

  • MIG Welding : Perform MIG welding to join metal parts, ensuring quality and adherence to specifications.
  • Production Task Execution : Follow process sheets, blueprints, or verbal instructions from the supervisor to complete production tasks accurately.
  • Material Handling : Maneuver large or heavy parts manually or with the assistance of a crane, as required.
  • Weld Inspection & Finishing : Inspect welds throughout the process for quality, using grinding tools as necessary to achieve desired finishes.
  • Machine & Workspace Maintenance : Keep machines and work areas clean and adhere to safety protocols.
  • Quality Control : Inspect finished work to ensure it meets predetermined tolerances and standards.
  • Cross-Functional Support : Assist in other areas or departments as assigned to meet production needs.
