About The Position

Job Details Job Location: Houston, TX 77041 Job Schedule: Monday – Friday, Saturdays as needed Job Shift: 7:00AM – 4:00PM Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 Essential Duties and Responsibilities • Performs repairs and maintenance on frontload and roll-off containers. • Use of torches and hand grinders to cut steel. • Fabricates steel components for hoppers, containers, and compacters. • Assists senior welders in the completion of project work. • Performs related work such as flame cutting, bending, forming, beveling, notching of metal and plastic parts. • Basic understanding of drawings as it pertains to welding. • Performs from verbal instructions. • Utilizes standard shop hand tools, measuring devices and equipment. • Maintains a clean work area in compliance with company standards. • Follows all safety policies and procedures. Additional Information • Required to use motor coordination with finger dexterity (such as keyboarding, machine operation, etc.) most of the workday. • Physical Demand: Must be able to stand for long periods of time. Must be able to lift up to 50lbs unassisted. • Required to be exposed to physical occupational risks (such as cuts, burns, exposure to toxic chemicals, etc.) often. • Working Conditions: Required to be exposed to physical environment which involves dirt, odors, noise, weather extremes or similar elements often. • Normal setting for this job is: manufacture shop no A/C. • Education : HS Diploma or GED and must be authorized to work in the United States.

Requirements

  • Basic skills in welding techniques.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and practices necessary while operating or repairing containers.
  • Skill in operating tools equipment, parts and procedures utilized during the repair and servicing of containers, Skill in repair of special purpose equipment.
  • Ability to perform repairs on a variety of containers.
  • Ability to follow directions with minimal supervisory involvement.
  • HS Diploma or GED and must be authorized to work in the United States.
