About The Position

Job Details Job Location: Houston, TX 77041 Job Schedule: Monday – Friday, Saturdays as needed Job Shift: 7:00AM – 4:00PM Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 Essential Duties and Responsibilities • Performs repairs and maintenance on frontload and roll-off containers. • Use of torches and hand grinders to cut steel. • Fabricates steel components for hoppers, containers, and compacters. • Assists senior welders in the completion of project work. • Performs related work such as flame cutting, bending, forming, beveling, notching of metal and plastic parts. • Basic understanding of drawings as it pertains to welding. • Performs from verbal instructions. • Utilizes standard shop hand tools, measuring devices and equipment. • Maintains a clean work area in compliance with company standards. • Follows all safety policies and procedures. Additional Information • Required to use motor coordination with finger dexterity (such as keyboarding, machine operation, etc.) most of the workday. • Physical Demand: Must be able to stand for long periods of time. Must be able to lift up to 50lbs unassisted. • Required to be exposed to physical occupational risks (such as cuts, burns, exposure to toxic chemicals, etc.) often. • Working Conditions: Required to be exposed to physical environment which involves dirt, odors, noise, weather extremes or similar elements often. • Normal setting for this job is: manufacture shop no A/C. • Education : HS Diploma or GED and must be authorized to work in the United States.

Requirements

Basic skills in welding techniques.
Knowledge of safety procedures and practices necessary while operating or repairing containers.
Skill in operating tools equipment, parts and procedures utilized during the repair and servicing of containers, Skill in repair of special purpose equipment.
Ability to perform repairs on a variety of containers.
Ability to follow directions with minimal supervisory involvement.
HS Diploma or GED and must be authorized to work in the United States.
