POSITION IDENTIFICATION Position Title: Welder Department: JOB OVERVIEW: We are seeking a dedicated and detailed-oriented individual to join our manufacturing company as a Welder 1. Responsible for performing welding operations on metal components according to specifications, blueprints, and safety standards. This position plays a key role in fabricating and assembling structural and mechanical products used in our manufacturing processes.

Requirements

Knowledge of production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques involved in the effective manufacture of goods a plus.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to properly identify and compile information to effectively make decisions and set priorities.
Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Responsibilities

Read and interpret blueprints and welding process specifications.
Set up, operate, and maintain welding equipment.
Perform grinding, cutting, and other finishing tasks as required.
Determine the appropriate welding equipment, settings, and methods based on requirements.
Operate angle grinders to prepare the parts that must be welded.
Align components using fixtures, tape measure, levels, speed square, etc. and clamp pieces
Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions (vertical, horizontal or overhead).
Prepare trailers and other components by welding pieces and filling gaps.
Follow orders, and complete tasks as assigned by supervisor.
Perform other duties as assigned.
The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ensure work is done safely and meets quality standards.
Follow prescribed procedures and guidelines.
Keep work areas clean and organized and take proper care of all equipment and facilities.
Follow all company rules and policies.
Follow all safety rules and quality standards.
Uphold all OSHA standards applicable to the responsibilities above.
