About The Position

The Welder uses several short bursts of heat from equipment to create a temporary weld between two metal joints. It works through the same process as creating a full weld but is used only for temporary joints. Job responsibilities are not limited to tack welding.

Requirements

Responsibilities

Qualified as a tack welder
Demonstration of the ability to safely use grinders and hand tool
Tack welding of sub-assemblies
Test products or subassemblies for functionality or quality
Troubleshoot problems with equipment, devices, or products
Build product subassemblies or final assemblies
Prepare and assemble materials
Set up and operate production equipment/tooling in accordance with current manufacturing practices and standard operating procedures
Maintain accurate inventory of job materials
Provide production, progress, or changeover reports to shift supervisors
Set up and verify the functionality of safety equipment
Start up and shut down processing equipment
Adhere to all applicable regulations, policies, and procedures for health, safety, and environmental compliance.
