About The Position

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is currently seeking a Welder - 2nd Shift. The hourly rate for this position is $23.00 per hour. The core hours are Monday-Thursday 3:30pm-2:00am. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. What you’ll do: The Welder will perform production GMAW welding operations on formed sheet metal structural and non-structural weld group assemblies. In this function you will: • Observe all safety rules and hygiene regulations • Perform welding per engineering specification • Operate equipment/machinery to produce parts • Interpret work orders including written, Kanban cards, and drawings • Build weld group kits from BOM’s • Maintain necessary tools and materials for continuous operation • Inspect final component against work specifications • Complete necessary paperwork and system transactions • Perform necessary operator maintenance on machining and fabrication equipment • Provide on-the-job training for new operators • Perform TPM and 5S+ responsibilities daily • Place scrap in appropriate containers • Complete any other assigned tasks from management

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED (General Education Degree) from an accredited institution is required.

  • Previous experience in Fabrication
  • Demonstrated welding ability/knowledge – A welding demonstration is required
  • Welding certificate or diploma from accredited institution
  • Able to lift 35 pounds – waist, shoulder, overhead
  • Proven history of safe work habits
  • Must be able to work effectively without direct supervision
  • Computer skills – Microsoft Office, Internet, etc.
  • Must be able to work overtime – weekdays and weekends

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience reading calipers and tape measures/scales
  • Previous experience reading blueprints
