Operates various hand tools, such as pliers, vice grips, hammers, squares, chisels, and screwdrivers, and power tools, such as grinders, drills, come-a-longs, saws, hydraulic knock-outs, and hydraulic jacks, to fit filter units. Uses TIG welding to put together parts of a filter unit. Reads blueprints to know how to fit metal parts together. Measures and uses math skills to accurately place parts and drill holes. Operates a crane or hand truck to move filter units. Performs minor maintenance on the welding machines. Performs housekeeping duties in the welding area. Performs other duties as assigned by management.
