About The Position

Plan and conduct all work activities with safety as their priority. Observe and be knowledgeable of all safety regulations and procedures. Maintain a clean and orderly working environment. Air arching and air slice. Torch operations: track torch, scarfing, and straight tip. Preheat and post heat. Crack repair and basic buildup. Welding and fabrication. Dual shield welding 1/16 and 3/32. Teardown and rebuild hard iron parts. Weld parts using positioners. Weld buildup parts for machining with no slag inclusions. Brazing. Bronze wire and nickel wire buildup. Inspect and write up for incoming jobs. Read and use all types of measuring tools (tape measures, calipers, micrometers). Read and understand blueprints. Grinding preparation for weld. Keep personal area clean and dump garbage. Keep scrap metals picked up. Follow safety protocol. Maintain equipment in good working order.

Requirements

  • 18 years or older
  • Safety Oriented
  • Proficient in weld procedures and techniques
  • Proficient with torching and grinding equipment
  • Layout and fabrication skills
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision after training
  • Good communication skills
  • Willingness to learn
  • Team player

Nice To Haves

  • 3 years of experience with our type of welding
  • College welding degree
  • OSHA safety training
