About The Position

The Fabricator/Welder is responsible for welding, fabricating, and repairing components from drawings, blueprints, and sample parts.
A self-starter who displays a strong work ethic and a commitment to quality workmanship.
Based on our small team environment dependability is critical, including the ability to work overtime when needed.
This is a day shift position.

Requirements

• Qualified candidates must have a minimum of three years of welding and fabrication experience.
• Must be highly proficient and able to pass AWS D1.1 and D1.5 certifications in: FCAW (3G & 4G CERTS), GMAW (1G, including spray transfer on heavy steel) and SMAW (3G & 4G CERTS) processes.
• Skills in brake, shear, grinders, and fabrication equipment.
• Shop environment utilizing SMAW, GMAW and FCAW processes.
• Capable of working at a fast pace
• Self-motivated, self-reliant, able to work with little direction.
• Reliable/dependable (prompt, with good attendance)
• Capable of multi-tasking and able to change direction or focus as priorities dictate.

Nice To Haves

• Heavy fabrication and repair experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Welding, fabricating, and repairing components from drawings, blueprints, and sample parts.
• Establishes and maintains a positive working relationship with team members and internal/external customers.
• Compliance with all company policies/procedures and safety guidelines.
• Ensures work areas are organized efficiently while maintaining security/safety measures.
• Upholds AMECO’s productivity, quality, and safety standards.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.
• Necessary overtime as the workload dictates.
