This position is responsible for analysis, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of all activities related to underground campus utilities and related building steam and heating systems. The position will initiate repairs or replacements as necessary to upgrade campus systems and minimize energy losses. The position shall be responsible to the Mechanical Shop Supervisor and will assist with special projects as directed. Minimum Qualifications Graduation from high school or equivalent. Experience in the trade(s) areas related to the position’s role may be substituted on a year-for-year basis. Trainee/Apprenticeship: Graduation from high school or equivalent. Experience in the trade(s) areas related to the position’s role may be substituted on a year-for-year basis. After successful completion of a one year apprenticeship in the assigned trade(s), the position can be updated to the Contributing Level.
