About The Position

This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Test Operations, Safety, Quality, and Mission Assurance. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities. As an Entry Level Aerospace Welder, you will perform welding operations on critical aerospace components under the guidance of experienced technicians. This position offers excellent training and growth opportunities for individuals looking to build a career in specialized aerospace welding.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Completion of welding technical program or equivalent training
  • Basic knowledge of TIG/GTAW welding processes
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents
  • Strong attention to detail and quality focus
  • Willingness to learn specialized aerospace welding techniques
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Manual dexterity for precision welding work
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
  • Visual acuity for detailed inspection work
  • Ability to wear required PPE including welding helmet, respirator when needed

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with Inconel and other nickel-based superalloys
  • AWS certification
  • Previous experience in aerospace or related industries
  • Familiarity with aerospace quality standards (AS9100)

Responsibilities

  • Perform TIG/GTAW welding on aerospace components including nickel-based alloys
  • Follow engineering drawings, work instructions, and specifications
  • Set up welding equipment and fixtures according to job requirements
  • Conduct visual inspections of completed welds
  • Maintain detailed documentation of completed work
  • Follow all safety protocols and procedures
  • Maintain clean and organized work area
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives
