About The Position

Centrex is seeking a skilled fabricator with a highly-trained eye for quality to join our Stainless Steel Process Skid Team. In this position, you’ll be exposed to the some of the most basic to cutting edge high-tech welding and fabricating tools in use in our industry. Requirements

Reliable and prompt
High school diploma or a GED equivalent
At least two years of experience in fabrication, pipe fitting or Welding
Ability to comprehend blueprints and work specifications
Physical ability to lift at least 75 pounds or more
Ability to work as a Team or independently to finish task on time

Nice To Haves

Welding certificate completion (Tig Welding, Orbital Welding, Laser Welders)
Food and Beverage Piping Standards
Understanding of construction tasks and industrial processes
Running the following equipment: Hy-Definition Plasma Table, Auto Band Saws, Grooving and Threading machines, Sheers, Breaks, Punches, laths and endmills.

Responsibilities

Check measurements and dimensions of each piece that’s being worked on with rulers, measuring tapes or squares
Prepare each product component in its appropriate spot as noted in the blueprints for proper size and alignment
Mark spots to cut and use tools to manipulate Stainless Steel Sheet, bar or by cutting, hammering, bending or grinding the workpiece
Review blueprints, drawings and other specification papers before starting work on a fabrication process and during the steps to ensure accurate completion
Maneuver basic hand fabrication machines, such as grinders, drills, porta band saws, wrenches and hammers to cut, bend, grind and adjust and or assemble materials.
Make templates for common work tasks when conducting repetitive motions for the fabrication process to ensure a set standard of work quality
