About The Position

Capable of fabricating and erecting assigned tasks using various types of metals, stainless steel, and galvanized black iron ranging from angle iron, channel iron, and round flat stock etc. Capable of performing the 3 major types of welding: TIG welding; ARC welding; MIG welding. Perform close tolerance to meet layout print specifications using calipers, micrometers, etc. as needed. Set up and operate welding fabricating equipment to perform jobs, blueprints, sketches, or verbal orders. Examine parts for defects and measure parts to ensure conformance with specifications. Perform machining with lathe broaching tools, drilling tapping, and other machining functions. Maintain tools and equipment in a safe clean and orderly manner including shop tools, welding, cutting gauges and welding equipment. Follow company policies and procedures giving special attention to safety regulations. Performs other job related duties as assigned. Must be able to safely operate hand power tools shop equipment to include metal shear metal brake drill press metal lathe plasma cutter oxy acetylene torch sanders etc. Able to weld in multiple positions flat vertical horizontal or overhead. Must be capable of reading blueprints specifications sketches work orders plan layout assembly and welding operations. Must be able to work weekends This position is slated for team members who are currently working at this facility or complex only.

Responsibilities

Performing the 3 major types of welding: TIG welding; ARC welding; MIG welding.
Performing close tolerance to meet layout print specifications using calipers, micrometers, etc. as needed.
Setting up and operating welding fabricating equipment to perform jobs, blueprints, sketches, or verbal orders.
