About The Position

Pacific Aerospace & Electronics (PacAero) is seeking a Weld Cell Technician to join our team. A successful candidate is committed to pushing the boundaries of technology, performance, and innovation. PacAero is primarily located in Wenatchee, WA with a remote manufacturing site, Bonded Metals, located in Sequim, WA. Working together, we employ proprietary technologies, best practices engineering, and specialized manufacturing techniques to produce hermetic connectors and electronic packaging that perform in the world’s most extreme environments. PacAero’s products are hard at work in medical components, such as cardiac-function devices, on key aerospace & defense programs, in space and deep below the earth's surface. Working under general supervision, Weld Cell Technician I is responsible for Pre and Post Laser weld processes in the manufacture of components for aerospace, defense, and medical applications. In addition to product assembly and finishing activities, the role also involves performing measurements and inspections to ensure product quality and adhering to safety and production standards.

Due to ITAR Requirements, all PacAero employees must be classified as US Persons and are required to show proof upon hire. Observe safety regulations and follow protective equipment requirements. Report hazardous observations to your lead or supervisor.
Must be able to retain information and show continued progression of growth towards Level II.
The ability to find and interpret Engineering Drawings to correctly determine requirements.
Develop strong understanding of the quality requirements of individual components and the finished products.
Learn to use the correct tools, techniques, and equipment necessary to process assemblies both prior to, and following, the Laser Weld process.
In-process visual inspections under a microscope to confirm compliance with quality standards.
In-process dimensional inspections with drop indicators, calipers, and micrometers as needed.
Pre-weld assembly of components in preparation for welding.
Post-weld processing of laser welded assemblies including Leak Check, Wash, finishing, hardware assembly, Xray, and inspection activities.
Ability to operate equipment including Leak check machine, Laser Engraver, and Xray machine.
The ability to complete tasks in a reasonably timely manner.
Work towards Pass/Fail certification for the Leak Check process.
