About The Position

Facilitate an exceptional experience for the NOJCC Community through warm greetings, customer service, and smooth check-in processes. Create memorable experiences for members, anticipating and accommodating their needs. Assist members with the NOJCC App and website. Troubleshoot member issues and facilitate communication between supervisors Manage and maintain the courtesy desks in a clean and presentable form Be actively engaged in "cross-selling" the other key revenue components of the NOJCC to members/guests- i.e., Fitness, Aquatics, Pre-school, after-school, summer camps, etc, by obtaining enough program knowledge of these key program areas. Knowledge of NOJCC emergency, security, and safety protocols (i.e., fire alarm evacuation, CPR, etc.). Calling 911 and alerting security personnel in emergencies Other duties as needed Comfortable standing or sitting for lengthy periods Process financial transactions as needed Create a positive, welcoming environment in person and over the phone for all those who come to the NOJCC, including but not limited to members, program participants, guests, and staff. Checking in members and guests according to the NOJCC procedures. Monitoring up-to-date memberships and member check-ins. Verifying approved access to the facility. Ensuring all guests have been properly checked in. Answering phones and redirecting calls. Ensure the welcome desk is kept neat and stocked with all flyers and materials. Report Maintenance and Facility requests to the appropriate staff. Be able to adjust work schedule to provide evening and weekend walk-in tours for prospective members when time permits.

Requirements

  • Familiarity with relevant software, particularly the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Availability to work a consistent schedule, including mornings, evenings, and/or weekends.
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a commitment to providing quality customer service.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Google Meet, with the ability to learn a membership database; good typing skills are essential.
  • Competence in basic-level mathematics.
  • Ability to work independently, set priorities, and handle multiple tasks effectively.
  • Detail-oriented and reliable.
  • Friendly demeanor with strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Prior experience or a passion for customer service or hospitality.
  • The capability to work and multitask in a fast-paced environment as part of a team.
  • Strong customer service skills and a positive, welcoming attitude.
  • Effective communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
