Requirements

Ability to have 24/7 Safety Conversations when employees are preforming a safe or unsafe act.
Able to read complex blueprints
Able to perform second person signoffs in all work centers in their department.
Must be self-motivated with the ability to motivate others.
Must have good knowledge of equipment and its safe operation.
Good communications skills
2-4 years of manufacturing experience

Responsibilities

Team Leadership: Ensure that all employees are engaged in the Safety 24/7 safety culture while leading a team of welders and machine operators at our Alexandria location.
Quality: Conduct inspections of components and enforce strict adherence to ISO quality protocols.
Workflow Optimization: Identify bottlenecks and implement improvements to increase efficiency
Ensure that all employees are wearing the proper PPE and adhere to the safety protocols of Standard Iron’s safety program.
Monitor work area setups to ensure they are ergonomically correct and minimize unnecessary movements.
Assist employees that are having quality issues by providing possible solutions toward resolution of problems.
Suggest improvements that demonstrate Continuous Improvement.
Participate/Lead DVM’s in their Department
Be courteous to others by treating them with the utmost respect.
Assist Supervisor with employee reviews.
Promote a sense of urgency and efficiency within the department.
Other duties as assigned by Supervisor
