About The Position

Summary: Completing and coordinating the day-to-day operational functions of the fabrication department.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent, one to three years’ relevant experience, or equivalent combination of both.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Proficient in Microsoft office products such as Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Teams.

Responsibilities

• Program lasers and brakes and ensure that machinery is set up for efficient performance.
• Ensure that production schedule is adhered to.
• Thoroughly check parts for non-conformances and adjust programs accordingly.
• Receives directions from the fabrication manager, leads fabrication team, and provides general instruction and direction to production employees on all shifts in accordance with customer demand.
• Laser and brake press troubleshooting.
• Order consumables and necessary parts.
• Operate machinery as necessary.
• Train and orientate employees on all departmental functions including but not limited to safe equipment operations, policies, and procedures.
• Partner with Manager of area to review employee’s quality and performance as well as regular review of staffing needs.
• Work with other shifts on the remaining work, issues, shift to shift notes, etc.
• Meets with programmer/engineers to discuss potential machine problems and optimizing material runs.
