We are Dover Precision Components, #LifeAtDPC Summary: The Weekend Production Lead is responsible for ensuring that safety protocols are being followed, identifying and removing safety hazards, as well as ensuring the flow of product through the shop to meet customer demands. The Weekend Production Lead is responsible for assisting in scheduling, job assignments, process improvement, and supervision (excluding disciplinary procedures). The hours for this role are: 5:00 am to 5:00 pm Fri, Sat, Sun.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 8+ years of shop experience.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in all plant safety initiatives, report potentially unsafe conditions, and abide by corporate and local policies.
  • Actively engage in lean manufacturing principles and techniques. This includes, but is not limited to, actively participating in kaizen events, 5S activities, and continuously seeking improvement in the work area.
  • Work with the Production Supervisor and other Leads to manage and prioritize staffing assignments to ensure customer demand and the production schedule are met.
  • Execute and coordinate employee training to ensure that procedures are followed and meet all quality requirements.
  • Report problems or concerns with quality, processes, equipment, material, and labor to the Manufacturing Supervisor.
  • Provide job status information daily to Manufacturing Superviso Work collaboratively with other departments – Safety, Quality, Manufacturing Engineering, etc – to resolve issues
