About The Position

A wonderful repeat BAHS client is seeking a full-time weekend nanny/housekeeper for her daughter. The role will require Friday from 2pm to 8pm, Saturday from 12pm to 8pm, and Sunday from 12pm to 8pm for direct, hands-on childcare. The other housekeeping hours may be at the candidate's discretion. The family goes to Washington, D.C., one weekend per month, and you must be able to go with them. Responsibilities when you do not have the child include deep cleaning, cooking, laundry (including ironing, steaming, folding, and putting away clothing, picking up dry cleaning, organizing closets, and changing bed linens), and household organization/inventory. This is a gentle, artistic household that values a balance of structure and professionalism, and seeks someone who can help create a loving, warm, creative, and fun atmosphere at home. This is a long-term position that will ideally evolve into the high school years. You must be willing to make a long-term commitment.

Requirements

Looking for a seasoned, professional candidate who is savvy in high-profile environments.
Warmth and overall kindness/positivity in disposition are a must
Ability and willingness to to perform both roles
Work well with other staff: a full-time nanny
Must be able to work weekends
Must be able to live-in when visiting a second home in DC (1x month) and Florida (2-3x per year)
This is a long-term position that will ideally evolve into the high school years.
You must be willing to make a long-term commitment.

Responsibilities

Priority will be a 3-year-old and her weekend care- this includes going to DC one weekend per month.
Finding fun and engaging activities that promote healthy and educational wellbeing
Deep cleaning, cooking, laundry (including ironing, steaming, folding, and putting away clothing, picking up dry cleaning, organizing closets, and changing bed linens), and household organization/inventory.
Grocery shopping and errands
Create a detailed inventory system for the home
In charge of all supply purchases as well as receiving deliveries
Cooking will need to be a significant part of the position
Helping prepare meals and setting the table for dinner
Eventually, there may be some entertainment in the home.
Coordinate with vendors, repair people, building supervisor, etc.
